Neutral Milk Hotel Unveils Final Tour?

Spring 2015 might be your last chance to see Neutral Milk Hotel on stage for quite a while. The indie rock band says the upcoming excursion will be its last “for the foreseeable future.”

Jeff Mangum & Co. have been making the rounds of the globe since reuniting last year. The initial run of U.S. dates in October 2013 marked the first tour for the band since it went on hiatus shortly after releasing its sophomore album, 1998’s In the Aeroplane Over the Sea.

Because Natural Milk Hotel didn’t get a chance to properly tour in support of the LP, Ground Control Touring’s Jim Romeo told Pollstar the reunion tour represents “unfinished business” for the act.

Since returning to the road, the band has played Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Taiwan, Japan, the U.K., and more than a dozen countries in Europe.

The final leg of the journey consists of another trip through the U.S., with stops including North Carolina, Virginia, Delaware, Ohio, Michigan, Wisconsin, Kansas, Missouri and Florida.

Along with the dates, the band posted the following message to fans:

“dear friends we love you but it’s time to say goodbye for the never ending now to announce that spring 2015 will be our last tour for the foreseeable future and so we extend our deepest gratitude to all the beautiful people who came to see us over the last year.”
