Triple The Fun From STS9

Sunday evening STS9 asked fans, “If you were a three night STS9 run what city would you be in?” And today we got the answer, with not one three-night stand, but three! Of course one of the stops is Athens, Ga., where the band first got its start so many years ago.

STS9 starts off 2015 with a previously announced residency at Denver’s Fillmore Auditorium. Along with its New Year’s Eve show, the instrumental rock act will stick around the venue Jan. 1-3.

The three-night Athens, Ga., run takes place at Georgia Theatre March 19-21. Other lucky cities getting the residency treatment are Aspen, Colo., and Chicago.

You can find STS9 on stage at Belly Up Aspen Feb. 13-15 and at the Windy City’s House Of Blues March 5-7.

Plus, Summer Camp Music Festival rolled out its first round of acts today, including STS9 as well as Moe., Umphrey’s McGee, Steve Miller Band, Widespread Panic, Big Gigantic, John Butler Trio and many others. The festival, which has not unveiled its daily lineup, takes place May 22-24 in Chillicothe, Ill., at Three Sisters Park. Tickets are on sale now.

As for the new residencies, three-day fan club tickets go on sale Dec. 18 at 12 p.m. local time. Remaining tickets, including single-day tix, will be available to the public Dec. 19 at 12 p.m. local time.
