Reckless Nights With Bryan Adams
Where has the time gone? Somehow it’s been more than 30 years since the Canadian singer/songwriter issused his fourth studio album. Released in November 1984, Reckless did quite well for Adams, hitting No. 1 in the U.S. and his homeland, as well as placing in the Top 10 in Australia and several countries in Europe.
The album boasts the No.1 hit “Heaven” along with the singles “Run to You,” “Somebody,” “Summer of ‘69,” “One Night Love Affair,” and his duet with Tina Turner, “It’s Only Love.” The duet was nominated for a Grammy for best rock vocal performance by a duo or group, while the album earned a nod for best rock vocal performance – male.
Universal put out a four-disc 30th anniversary super deluxe edition of Reckless this fall featuring the 2014 remaster and bonus tracks, a recording of Adams’ 1985 concert at London’s Hammersmith Odeon, a DVD of the 1984 Reckless movie, a blu-ray pure audio of the Reckless remaster and previously unreleased 5.1 mix of Reckless by Bob Clearmountain, a hardcover book with never-before-seen photos and more. A two-disc deluxe edition is also available.
Adams’ 2015 tour plans begin with a trip through Canada in January and February.
