Great New Dates From Twin Atlantic

The saying goes, “Go big or go home.” But why do you have to pick? Twin Atlantic has announced dates for its biggest U.K. headline excursion ever – including a show in the band’s hometown at Glasgow’s The SSE Hydro.

The alternative rock band is supporting its third studio album, Great Divide, which was released in August. The LP reached No. 1 on the Scottish albums chart and No. 6 on the U.K. charts, making it Twin Atlantic’s highest charting album to date.

Along with the new U.K. dates, Twin Atlantic recently posted a statement on its Facebook page reflecting on 2014.

“This year has been a milestone one for our band – we’ve achieved things we never thought possible, and we’ve seen our band grow in places so far from home it’s hard to comprehend. The release of our new album Great Divide opened up what we can do with our live show, and getting to play the album to everyone over the last few months has been so fulfilling.

“We’ve always been a band to constantly push ourselves in everything we do – so it feels right to end 2014 by pushing ourselves even further going into the New Year.”

The band adds, “Hope to see you at the shows, we’re counting down the days already.”

Twin Atlantic’s 2015 tour plans start with a few previously announced European dates. You can catch the band Jan. 14 in Paris and Jan. 16 in Haarlem, Netherlands.

 Here are the new gigs:

May 5 – Manchester, England, Albert Hall
May 7 – London, England, O2 Academy Brixton
May 8 – Birmingham, England, O2 Academy Birmingham
May 9 – Glasgow, Scotland, The SSE Hydro

A presale begins Dec. 24 at 9 a.m. local time. Folks who buy tickets on Wednesday will be automatically entered to win a signed limited edition flag from the Great Divide album artwork. The general onsale begins Dec. 26.
