Killswitch Engage’s Jesse Leach On His Own
Leach said Thursday that a video and more details about the tour will be announced “very soon.” In the meantime, here are the dates:
Jan. 15 – Sydney, Hot Damn Spectrum
Jan. 16 – Brisbane, The Brightside
Jan. 21 – Collingwood, Eureka Rebellion Trading
Jan. 24 – Collingwood, The Gasometer Hotel
The Jan. 21 show outside of Melbourne is being billed as “Memories, Words and Songs: An Evening with Jesse Leach.” The event will include a Q&A, spoken word and poetry.
“My first ever ‘Spoken Word’ night in one of my favorite cities, Melbourne Australia,” Leach said. “I’ll be speaking about my childhood through my crazy teenage years till now. Revealing stories behind lyrics, music that inspired me and reciting some personal poetry. Just me and a room full of people, yikes ha ha… It’s kind of like a few chapters out of a book of my life that has yet to be written. Big thanks to Anthony at Eureka Rebellion Trading for encouraging me to do this. I am equally excited and intimidated. I plan on filming it to possibly release it, not sure yet?”
Killswitch Engage doesn’t have any dates booked as of the time of this post. The band’s last update on Facebook, dated Dec. 28, says the act is “currently working on new music and getting ready for a busy 2015.” Its most recent LP is 2013’s Disarm the Descent.
In addition to handling lead vocal duties with Killswitch Engage, Leach is also a member of Times of Grace and The Empire Shall Fall. He formerly was involved with Seemless, Nothing Stays Gold, and Corrin.
Tickets for the Aussie tour are on sale now.
