More Nights With Gov’t Mule & John Scofield

Gov’t Mule has expanded its excursion with John Scofield to include another half dozen dates. Pre-orders are ongoing now for the long-awaited release of the two acts’ live recording hailing from 1999.

Newly mixed and mastered, Sco-Mule is offered as a double vinyl release, a two-CD set or a digital download. You’ll get 2.5 hours of music from the two shows recorded in Georgia in September 1999 including tracks “Hottentot,” “Tom Thumb,” and “Birth Of the Mule.” At that time Gov’t Mule’s lineup included its original bassist, the late Allen Woody.

After originally planned for release following 2000’s Life Before Insanity, Sco-Mule will finally ship on or around Jan. 23.
