Bassist Tim Drummond Dies
Tim Drummond, a session and touring bassist who performed with Neil Young, Bob Dylan, Crosby, Stills and Nash and many others, died Jan. 10 in St. Louis at 74.
He played bass on Young’s 1972 Harvest and contributed to all of the artist’s albums from 1974-1980.
He also contributed to Don Henley’s Building the Perfect Beast, the Beach Boys’ 16 Big Ones, Jewel’s Pieces of You, several Ry Cooder albums and worked such musicians as James Brown, Rick Danko, J.J. Cale and Lonnie Mack, according to Rolling Stone. No cause of death was given.
