Vince Gill & Friends On The Road

Vince Gill has planned a brief excursion in March with Ashley Monroe, Charlie Worsham and daughter Jenny Gill called “Vince Gill & Friends.” But don’t be fooled by the tour’s name – just because the singer/songwriter’s name is listed first, he’s not the headliner.

All four acts will be on stage for the entire show.

“This won’t be a ‘guitar pull, where one person sings while the others listen and wait for their turn,” Gill says. “We’ll all be pitching in, picking and singing harmony for each other and doing each other’s songs. It will be a musical collaboration – not a headliner with opening acts.”

Gill is no stranger to working with other acts, having appeared as a guest artist on nearly 1,000 albums.

His most recent album is 2013’s Bakersfield, which he made with steel guitar player Paul Franklin. The LP is filled with tunes from the creators of the “Bakersfield Sound” – Merle Haggard and Buck Owens.

Worsham released his debut, Rubberband, in 2013. The LP just so happens to include an appearance by Gill.

Monroe is once again having Gill produce her upcoming album. In addition to working as the executive producer on 2013’s Like a Rose, Gill also co-wrote two of the tracks.
