Announcing Joel’s return to Baltimore after a 35-year absence, Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake counted herself among the fans looking forward to his July 25 show at M&T Bank Stadium.

“I am pleased to join thousands of music fans in welcoming Billy Joel back to our city,” Rawlings-Blake said.  “Billy is one of the most acclaimed musicians of our generation, and his songs have entertained millions of fans around the world for decades.  M&T Bank Stadium is the perfect venue to host this event and allow the ‘piano man’ to thrill us with his amazing talents.”

Houston is now on Joel’s autumn plans in the form of a gig at the Toyota Center Nov. 6.

“We can’t wait to get in a ‘Houston State Of Mind’ with Billy Joel,” Toyota Center general manager Tad Brown said.  “It’s going to be a great night of rock ’n’ roll with a legendary artist and we are excited for Billy’s return to the Bayou City.”

Charlotte, N.C., will receive a visit from Joel the following month when he plays the Time Warner Cable Arena Dec. 5.

“Billy Joel is one of the greatest musicians of all-time and this will certainly be one of the biggest concert events of 2015,” Hornets Sports & Entertainment president/COO Fred Whitfield said.  “We are proud to continually provide world-class entertainment at Time Warner Cable Arena for all of the people throughout Carolinas.”

New York’s Madison Square Garden has added Joel’s 24th residency show due to overwhelming demand.  Playing one gig per month at the venue, Joel is now booked for Dec. 17.  The concert will mark his 70th all-time performance at the Garden.
