LN, Town Negotiated Oakdale Noise

Live Nation and the town of Wallingford, Conn., negotiated for months before a cease-and-desist letter was sent to the Toyota Oakdale Theatre in December over noise complaints, Mayor William Dickinson says.

“It’s been going on for some time; at least the spring,” Dickinson told the Meriden, Conn., Record Journal. “Things started to really heat up in May or June, at least from my perspective.”

The paper reports that town councilors were told last year that the letter was the original venue before an expansion that created the main theatre about 20 years ago, and does not contain fixed seats. Upcoming shows include Excision and
