Sheppard Gears Up For U.S. Release

Australian band Sheppard is gearing up for the March 10 U.S. release of debut album Bombs Away with TV appearances and dates with Meghan Trainor.

Bombs Away is released through School Boy Records, owned by Scooter Braun who co-manages the act with Michael Chugg of Sydney’s Chugg Entertainment and Steve Strange and Martin Tibbetts of the UK’s Strange World.

The act appears Feb. 9 on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon,” before setting off with Trainor’s sellout 16-date tour from Feb. 11. They’re also booked March 10 on “The Today Show,” and March 13 on “LIVE! with Kelly & Michael.”

Sheppard is riding behind the global success of the band’s “Geronimo” single. It has had 75 million Spotify streams, certified five times platinum in Australia where it was top-selling single last year, reached Top 10 in 12 countries and getting airplay in 50 territories. In North America, “Geronimo” was broken by SiriusXM’s Hits1, AltNation, and The Pulse, which led to an add from Los Angeles’s KROQ.
