Wildwood Debating EDM Show
Jack and Will Morey of Morey’s Piers claim families left the beach and the boardwalk to get away from the booming bass of the concert last year, according to the Press of Atlantic City. But Wildwood Mayor Ernie Troiano Jr. thinks the show was a success and wants a repeat. Last year’s event reportedly drew 7,000 fans, made $15,000 for the city and raised $40,000 for the American Red Cross.
The show also apparently didn’t produce an unusual number of arrests or emergency medical calls.
Promoter BeachGlow has attempted to make the event more family friendly by banning offensive language on stage at the concert, making the event for fans ages 17 and up and improving security, the paper said.
The city is considering moving the location and the date of the show to accommodate families that visit the beach over the holiday weekend.
