Chris Brown’s Vanishing Tour Dates

Last week before the “Between The Sheets” outing featuring Chris Brown and Trey Songz was to launch in Hampton, Va., Brown posted a message on Instagram saying that the tour would be moved “to later dates” so that he could finish his court-ordered community service.  So far, no new dates have been announced.

Brown’s community service requirements stem from when he assaulted his then-girlfriend Rihanna in Los Angeles during Grammy Weekend 2009.  Brown eventually pleaded guilty to a felony in exchange for a sentence involving community labor, community service and probation.

Brown’s Instagram post quickly moved through the media as news outlets proclaimed the tour was off.  However, as of today, tickets are still on sale for the majority of shows.

But that doesn’t mean those concerts will still be on sale tomorrow.  With the exception of the DCU Center in Worcester, Mass., postponing its Feb. 19 engagement with Brown and Trey Songz, venues have been nixing the shows within 24-48 hours before the concerts were to take place.  The latest venue to announce a postponement – Dallas’ American Airlines Center – issued the bad news to fans about its Feb. 6 concert within the past 24 hours.

The venues that have announced postponements have also stated on their websites that the original tickets will be honored on new dates yet to be announced and that fans should visit LiveNation.com for more information. So far the only Chris Brown information to be found on that website is the ticketing page for the individual dates making up the tour.

Brown’s next scheduled concert is Monday, Feb. 9 at Time Warner Cable Arena in Charlotte, N.C.  Tickets are still available, according to the venue’s website.   However, by tomorrow the website might very well relay a different message.
