Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Deputy Kelvin Moody says Knight was released and taken into custody around 9 p.m. Wednesday.
The 49-year-old Knight complained of chest pains Tuesday about an hour after he pleaded not guilty to murder, attempted murder and hit-and-run charges.
He is accused of intentionally running down and killing a friend on Jan. 29. Another man was injured.
Knight founded Death Row Records, which once featured Snoop Dogg, Dr. Dre and Tupac Shakur as its top artists.
