Kylie To Headline Melt - Pollstar News

The German live music business may have been surprised – given the nature of the festival – by the news that Kylie Minogue is to headline Melt, and it certainly caught the administrators of Carlos Fleischmann’s Creative Talent off guard.

“We were surprised about Kylie at the Melt Festival,” said Alexander Schmidt, a spokesman for rwkonzept GmbH, which is winding up Creative’s affairs.

Part of that process has included chasing the Australian superstar to return the deposits for her canceled German shows.

“Kylie is still on our roadmap, but not in this moment,” Schmidt explained. “I’m so lucky,” Melt chief Stefan Lehmkuhl said on his Facebook page, apparently paraphrasing one of Minogue’s biggest hits.

The Melt bill (July 17-19) also includes Alt-J, London Grammar, Flume, Sven Väth, Giorgio Moroder, and Modeselektor.
