Suge Knight Due Back In Court For Bail Hearing
Death Row Records co-founder Marion “Suge” Knight is scheduled to appear Monday in a Compton courtroom for a hearing that will determine whether he can bail out of jail.
Knight is charged with murder, attempted murder and hit-and-run because of an altercation in late January in which he struck two men with his pickup in a Compton parking lot. The 49-year-old has pleaded not guilty to the charges, but is being held without bail after prosecutors argued he was a flight risk.
His attorneys have said Knight was trying to flee a vicious attack when he hit the men, killing 55-year-old Terry Carter and seriously injuring another man. Authorities allege he intentionally hit them.
