Sammy Hagar’s N. California Restaurant No Longer Rockin’
He can’t drive 55, and he’s no longer serving burgers and fries.
Not in Northern California anyway.
Rocker Sammy Hagar’s restaurant in Roseville is shutting down after about two years.
Sammy’s Island Bar & Grill said on its website Monday that it’s permanently closing.
Hagar still has restaurants in five other states.
A note from Hagar on the site says when his restaurants are successful he gives his profits back to charity, but the Roseville restaurant hasn’t been able to do that. No further reason was given for the closure.

The Sacramento Bee reports that the 67-year-old former Van Halen singer and solo rock star administered the oath of office to Roseville Mayor Carol Garcia, who asked him to do it because of his investment in the city’s downtown.
