Amanda Palmer Solo Dates

Saying she is “still hungry for a certain love,” Amanda Palmer announces a series of solo dates for which she is bringing her piano and ukulele.

Actually, the Dresden Dolls singer / author had a lot to say.  Revealing the tour via her blog, Palmer said after a year of promoting her 2014 book, “The Art Of Asking: How I Learned To Stop Worrying And Let People Help,” she is “crawling the walls to go back to music.”

“Truth: I am still hungry for a certain love,” Palmer blogged.  “I want people to love me for doing the music thing.  So I figure there is only one way to really fix this problem, and that is TO GO ON TOUR.”

Proclaiming that she isn’t bringing a band, performance artists or extra stage dancers, Palmer wrote, “I am bringing a piano and ukulele, and I am going to go back to what I do: make songs for people in a room.”

But Palmer has a few upcoming shows before she embarks on the newly announced tour.  You’ll find her at Cuisine En Locale in Somerville, Mass., Feb. 26 & March 5; New York’s Ace Hotel March 2; The Vogue Theatre in Vancouver, British Columbia, March 18; and at tribute at Carnegie Hall in New York March 23.
