Eight For Aerosmith
In years past Aerosmith would announce tours using all the bells, whistles and press conferences befitting a Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame band. However, this year Steven Tyler and the boys seem to be sticking to cyberspace as they announces shows via the official website.
Adding to the anxiety of having to wait, wait and wait some more for a tour announcement, the band sent out emails and posted a FAQ on its website reminding fans how the ticketing system used by its official Aero Force One fan club worked, leading many to think a complete tour announcement wasn’t far off.
Plus, earlier this week the band promised a big announcement for another single date. But no announcement was made although Ticketmaster briefly listed an Aug. gig for Las Vegas.
Now fans are watching the Aerosmith touring spigot slowly drip a date every few days. Here’s the schedule so far:
June 24 – Evansville, Ind., Ford Center
June 27 – Durant, Okla., Choctaw Event Center
July 3 – Stateline, Nev., Lake Tahoe Outdoor Arena At Harveys
July 10 – Salinas, Calif., Salinas Sports Complex
July 13 – Kelowna, British Columbia, Prospera Place
July 16 – Victoria, British Columbia, Save On Foods Memorial Centre
July 19 – Fort McMurray, Alberta, MacDonald Island Park
July 22 – Cheyenne, Wyo., Frontier Park (Cheyenne Frontier Days)
Most dates are already on sale. General onsales for Fort McMurray launch Feb. 27 at 10 a.m. MST. The Aero Force One presale for Evansville begins March 3 at 10 a.m. CST and the general onsales starts March 6 at 10 a.m. CST. Click here for the band’s website.
