The suit was filed Sept. 22 in El Paso, but only recently was moved to federal court.

William Brockhaus, who claims he is the Mexican superstar’s former manager, says he was hired by Miguel on July 1, 2012, to organize his tours. After having done so, and saying in court documents that he cut tour costs by some 25 percent, Miguel allegedly refused to pay professional fees amounting to $2.1 million.

Brockhaus seeks that amount, plus attorney’s services rendered of $15,000 and other costs.
