There is no rest for the weird as eternally young Al Yankovic adds yet more shows to an already busy schedule.  Touring in support of his Mandatory Fun album and with dates booked from May to October, you might think the master of the song parody might want to embrace those rare days off.  If so, think again, because Yankovic has added shows for August and September.

Sept. 19 – Los Angeles, Calif., Greek Theatre

Don’t bother telling John Fogerty what year it is.  The former Creedence Clearwater Revival singer/songwriter has been pleasing fans with his “1969” tour highlighting all the great music on three classic CCR albums from that era – Bayou Country, Green River and Willy And The Poor Boys.

Now it looks as if it’s going to be 1969 for a while longer, at least until sometime this summer.  Fogerty has added more shows for the tour with destinations including Charlotte, Tampa and Los Angeles.

St. Louis, Indianapolis, Detroit and Kansas City are among the new destinations on Alabama Shakes’ itinerary.

The band made an appearance on the weekend’s “Saturday Night Live” to perform their latest single, Don’t Wanna Fight.”

Alabama Shakes climbs back onboard the tour bus in a couple of weeks when the band ventures forth in support of its new Sound & Color album, arriving April 21 via ATO Records. Here are the newly added dates:
