Cody Simpson’s ‘New Problems’

Cody Simpson may not have a name for his new EP, but he has released a couple of videos in advance of the record’s release and his upcoming tour beginning in April.

Co-produced by Cisco Adler, the upcoming EP includes his new single, “New Problems.”  Cameron Duddy directed the song’s video, which recently debuted on Nylon.com.  Duddy’s credits include having worked with Bruno Mars, Grouplove and Mark Ronson.

Scheduled for an April 7 release via Coast House Records / Banana Beat Records, the EP’s title, tracklist and artwork will be announced shortly.

“The ‘New Problems’ release in its entirety, as a video and a single, is an outlet for me to show that there is a little rock ’n’ roll left in the youth,” Simpson said.  “This, including the other ones you’ll soon hear all showcase who I am growing into as a writer and a player. ”

The other single from the EP is “Flower.”  The Miley Cyrus-created artwork for the single adorns limited edition T-shirts, with a portion of sales going to Cyrus’ Happy Hippie Foundation charity. Simpson premiered “Flower” to the world through RollingStone.com.
