Seinfeld In India
Due to language and cultural differences, American standup comedians rarely make much of an impact in Asia, but Jerry Seinfeld will make his first-ever professional appearance on the continent when he performs March 14-15 at Mumbai’s Sardar Vallabhai Patel Stadium as part of the Stage 42 festival.

The festival “showcases talent in comedy, music, theater and food,” according to the International Business Times.
Stage 42 travels to seven cities, but Seinfeld is scheduled to appear only in Mumbai.
In advance of his appearance, Seinfeld issued a statement that read, “I have always been fascinated by India and its culture. I have great respect for its people and their way of life. It is a great honor for me to be invited there and make fun of it in person.”
