The Latest Chicago & Earth, Wind & Fire Team-Up

One of music’s most popular co-headlines does it again in 2015 as Chicago and Earth, Wind & Fire announce a summer outing beginning on the West Coast in mid-July.

Putting two bands that need no lengthy introductions at the top of a touring ticket is definitely a no brainer and this team-up has always thrilled fans.  Chicago brings an almost endless discography filled with timeless hits, including “Saturday In The Park,” “Feelin’ Stronger Every Day,” “Hard To Say I’m Sorry,”  and “Does Anybody Really Know What Time It Is?”  Heck, you could fill up three hours with Chicago classics and still not touch on every song.

Same goes for Earth, Wind & Fire.  The band’s long cavalcade of hits, including  “Shining Star,” “That’s The Way Of The World,”  “Sing A Song” and “September” ruled radio station playlists during the ’70s and sound as fresh today as when the records were first released.

Of course, a tour as big as this requires quotes from both sides of the equation.  We’ll start off with Chicago original member Lee Loughnane.

“One of the most exciting things about the show is when both bands perform at the end of the concert. Having these 21 very talented musicians playing our greatest hits together puts the excitement level at a fever pitch!  From the Heart of Chicago and the Soul of Earth, Wind & Fire, it is an unforgettable experience.”

Now it’s Philip Bailey’s turn:

“This is a real treat for fans of both groups to experience again the power-packed collaboration of Earth, Wind & Fire and Chicago.  We are looking forward to it ourselves – it has always been of one of our favorite tours.”
