Eric Clapton At 70
Eric Clapton is throwing himself a birthday party and you’re invited. The legendary guitarist is celebrating seven decades of life with two shows at New York’s Madison Square Garden. Tickets go on sale next week.
Clapton’s bash will be a tad late. The MSG shows are set for May 1-2, one month past his March 30th birthday. The concerts will also mark the 46th anniversary of Cream rockin’ the then-new Madison Square Garden back in November 1968.
Clapton’s current band is a who’s who of music and includes Paul Carrack, Steve Gadd, Nathan East, Christ Stainton, Sharon White and Michelle John. Andy Fairweather Low & The Low Riders will open.
