Authorities say Harrell was found slumped behind the wheel of an SUV in in D’Iberville in February 2014.

The Sun Herald reports  that on Monday, Judge Albert Fountain sentenced Harrell to one year in county jail, suspending six months with the condition that he enroll in rehabilitation programs.

A no-contest plea means Harrell neither admits nor disputes the charge.

Harrell didn’t come to court. Fountain said he’s indicated he’ll appeal.

In Harrell’s first DUI case in D’Iberville, he told police he had prescription drugs in his system when he rear-ended a car in 2012. He was convicted.

Nine months later, Harrell was arrested in Nashville on charges of vehicular homicide by intoxication. No trial date is set.
