Overton Leaves Sony Nashville

Gary Overton, CEO of Sony Music Nashville, is leaving the company after five years, according to a mutual statement. 

“Working at Sony Music has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my career,” Overton said. “I will deeply miss the talented team at SMN, but I am also excited about starting the next chapter of my career.”

Overton is expected to leave the company March 31. Sony Music Nashville oversees imprints RCA, Columbia, Arista Nashville and Provident Music Group.

Acts include Kenny Chesney, Brad Paisley and Miranda Lambert.
