Fleetwood Mac Announces Trip Down Under
The act revealed in October 2013 that the Australia/New Zealand outing, which was supposed to launch in November, was being called off so John McVie could undergo treatment for cancer. Fleetwood Mac hasn’t commented on the type of cancer the bassist was battling.
By Dec. 30, 2013, the band had returned to the stage for a one-off show in Las Vegas. The next month Fleetwood announced that the bassist’s ex-wife and former bandmate, Christine McVie, was rejoining the lineup for the first time since 1998.
