The Effect Of New Brandon Flowers Dates
Marking the follow-up to 2010’s Flamingo, The Desired Effect is due out May 18. Flowers teamed up with producer Aril Rechtshaid, who has worked with Haim, Sky Ferreira and Vampire Weekend. The album is described as a “collection of songs that shows [Flowers] at his most sonically diverse and playful.”
The Desired Effect features the work of Ethan Farmer, Bruce Hornsby, Tony Levin, Kenny Aronoff, The Dirty Projectors’ Angel Deradoorian, and Joey Waronker. Pet Shop Boys’ Neil Tennant, Killers’ Ronnie Vannucci Jr. and Haim’s Danielle Haim also make guest appearances.
The LP’s first single “Can’t Deny My Love,” debuted Monday in the U.K. on Annie Mac’s show on BBC Radio 1. Tune in to “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” this evening to see Flowers perform the song for the first time on television. “Can’t Deny My Love” will be available at midnight on all digital service and streaming providers.
