Presented by Another Planet Entertainment, Superfly and Starr Hill in a partnership with the San Francisco Recreation and Park Department, Outside Lands will take over Golden Gate Park Aug. 7-9.
Who else is on the lineup? Today’s announcement includes Wilco, Axwell ^ Ingrosso, Tame Impala, D’Angelo and The Vanguard, St. Vincent, Porter Robinson, Ben Harper & The Innocent Criminals, Billy Idol, G-Eazy, Hot Chip, Slightly Stoopid, Caribou, Milky Chance, Chet Faker, The Devil Makes Three and many others.
But Outside Lands delivers more than music. The festival prides itself on gathering the best food and drink Northern California has to offer and served up in six unique experiences – “A Taste Of The Bay Area,” “Wine Lands,” “Beer Lands,” “Choco Lands” and “Cheese Lands,” as well as last year’s new “Gastro Magic,” a fully programmed stage filled with culinary entertainment.
Outside Lands is an annual shot in the arm for the San Francisco’s financial picture. So says a 2011 economic study that reported that the festival generates more than $70 million annually for the San Francisco economy. Outside Lands has also brought in more than $10 million for the benefit of the San Francisco Recreation and Park Department.
Outside Lands’ “eager beaver” advance ticket sale was the fastest sell-out in the festival’s history. However, a limited number of 3-day general admission and VIP regular tickets go on sale March 26 at 10 a.m. PDT. Check out SFOutsideLands.com for all you need to know.
