Kaplan Joining Gracenote

As part of his duties, Kaplan will direct the company’s music business, develop new music solutions and work with Gracenote customers to integrate data and technology into new music platforms and services.

He’ll report to Gracenote CEO John Batter.

Kaplan comes to Gracenote from Live Nation, where he headed up Live Nation Labs – the company’s technology and innovation arm – and directed product, engineering and design operations as well as many acquisitions.

Gracenote provides data to digital video and music services.
