Neko Case Adds June Dates

As Neko Case prepares to embark on her first solo tour of the year, she’s extended her plans through June with a few festival appearances and a handful of U.S. headline dates.

The 2015 outing begins with an April 11 gig in Berkeley, Calif., with Alabama Shakes, followed by an April 12 headline show in Bend, Ore. New dates include stops in Wilmington, Del.; Washington, D.C.; Charlottesville, Va.; and Raleigh, N.C. You can catch Case at a few New York festivals – Northside Festival in Brooklyn and Clearwater Festival in Hudson, N.Y.

The New Pornographers, which Case has been a part of since 1999, also recently added a few festival appearances including Milwaukee’s Summerfest and Sloss Music & Arts Festival in Birmingham, Ala.

Case is continuing to support her sixth studio album, 2013’s The Worse Things Get, The Harder I Fight, The Harder I Fight, The More I Love You. The LP is described as showcasing the singer/songwriter “at her most emotionally raw and yet, paradoxically, in steely control.” Case wrote the album following a three-year period that included the death of several loved ones, including both of her parents.

The New Pornographers released its sixth LP, Brill Bruisers, last August.
