Milky Chance Adds Summer Gigs

Having already sold out shows through spring, Germany’s Milky Chance adds a few summer stops, including  Chicago, Boston, San Diego and Los Angeles.  Presales begin tomorrow, general onsales launch Friday.

A glance at the spring itinerary for the reggae/electronica mashup that is Milky Chance features gig after gig that’s already sold out.  Two nights in New York plus an evening in Brooklyn?  All three sold out.  Two nights in Toronto? Ditto.  Two nights in Chicago? Double ditto.

Reminding us that hit records sell tickets, the group’s debut album, Sadnecessary, hit No. 4 on iTunes Overall Top Albums chart and peaked at No. 1 on the Alternative Albums chart.  Meanwhile, the single “Stolen Dance” is still racking up spins on radio stations.

Milky Chance will play on your TV this week when the group appears on NBC’s “The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon” April 1 to perform “Flashed Junk Mind.”
