Strong First Day For Fleetwood Mac

Tickets for Fleetwood Mac’s October / November Australia and New Zealand run of the On With The Show world tour showed a strong start. 

Some venues announced sell-outs within the first hour.

In New Zealand, where the act has not toured since 2009, a Nov. 22 show was added at the 30,000-capacity Mt Smart Stadium in Auckland, one night after the first. Dunedin’s 

Dunedin Venue Management chief executive Terry Davies revealed it was the quickest event to sell out in the stadium’s history.

Live Nation has no plans for a second show, which led to online scalpers getting NZ$600 ($455) for NZ$398 ($201.45) stubs and NZ$1,200 ($908.95) for a NZ$600 double.

Across the Tasman Sea in Australia, second shows were announced for the 20,000-capacity Hope Estate Winery in the Hunter Valley and the 13,500-seater Brisbane Entertainment Center. All 17,000 tickets went at Mt Duneed Estate outside Melbourne, also in the first hour.
