80/35 Brings Music To The Heartland

Weezer, Wilco, Jenny Lewis, and Run The Jewels are just a few of the more than 50 acts heading for Des Moines, Iowa, in July for the 80/35 Festival.

Happening in downtown Des Moines at Western Gateway Park July 10-11, the lineup includes Talib Kweli, Lettuce, Cloud Nothings and St. Lucia. Expect more bands to be announced in May.

Organizers revealed lots of information this morning, including 80/35’s daily plans.  Here’s the rundown:

Friday, July 10 – Wilco, Jenny Lewis, St. Lucia, Talib Kweli, Hot Buttered Rum, Fly Golden Eagle, Rome Fortune

Saturday, July 11 – Weezer, Run The Jewels, Lettuce, Cloud Nothings, Jon Wayne and the Pain, Natural Child, Jaden Carlson Band, Amasa Hines, The Kickback, Kind Country, Canby, Boh Doran

New for the festival is the Lagunitas Couchtrippin Lounge featuring Lagunitas beers not currently available in Iowa plus mixed drinks and wine. You can pick up a Lounge wristband for $15.

Speaking of prices, advance two-day tickets are on sale now for $59 while one-day passes are going for $39.  Day of show tickets will be priced at $90 for two days, $50 for one day.  Click here for more info.
