Aussie Tour Update: AC/DC Confirms Nov/Dec Run

AC/DC is extending its Rock Or Bust global trek to where it all began. The Van Egmond Group has the rock band for an initial run, kicking off at ANZ Stadium in Sydney Nov. 4 and ending in Melbourne Dec. 6.

But it is expected that with the Rock Or Bust hitting top spot on the official ARIA chart, more dates will be announced. On the band’s last visit in February 2010 on the Black Ice tour for Van Egmond and Chugg Entertainment, the 11 dates sold 600,000 tickets and was the highest-earning tour e and Wellington’s Westpac Stadium in December. The dates are to be confirmed.

In other tour announcements, Antony And The Johnsons are set for two shows in June at Tasmania’s Dark Mofo festival, where they team up with the Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra.

Neil Finn does two intimate shows at the Recital Halls in Melbourne (May 27) and Sydney (May 30) through Live Nation and Artist Voice.

Swedish melodic death metal band At The Gates returns after three years, with Blue Murder & Metropolis Touring for club dates in late October/early November.

The Music House has jazz trumpet virtuoso Chris Botti at four shows in Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne July 2-5.

Westpac Stadium returns for five theatre dates Oct. 25 to Nov. 2 through Mellen Events & Bluehawk Presents.
