Fillmore For Philly

What was once a metal factory could be pumping out a different kind of metal this fall following its transformation into The Fillmore Philadelphia.
can we call it the Phillmore yet?

A 2,500-capacity Fillmore is rising on the site of the historic Ajax Metal Factory in the city’s Fishtown neighborhood. The venue is slated to feature VIP amenities, state-of-the-art production and an intimate “club within the club” dubbed The Foundry.

“The Fillmore Philadelphia will feature the best sound system of any club its size, unparalleled sightlines, and remarkable food and beverage, making it more than a place for a concert,” Ron Bension, president of House of Blues Entertainment told Pollstar. “It will be a true experience.”

The Foundry will have capacity for 450 and be located on the top floor of the building as a showcase for singer/songwriters, local acts, DJs and smaller touring bands. And on the second floor of The Fillmore, Circle Bar, an upscale lounge and bar, will feature small-batch liquors, craft beers and an extensive menu of “local favorites” like brats, burgers and cheesesteaks.

The bar will connect to club boxes and seats on the mezzanine level of The Fillmore to provide in-seat food, beverage and bottle service to fans looking for “an unforgettable night of entertainment,” Bension said.
