Fingers crossed that the acts play their big hits like Smash Mouth’s “Walkin’ On The Sun,” Toad The Wet Sprocket’s “All I Want” and Tonic’s “If You Could Only See.”
All three acts are celebrating big milestones. Smash Mouth marked its 20th anniversary last year. Toad The Wet Sprocket will celebrate three decades together in 2016, as well as the 25th anniversary of its platinum selling album fear. Next year will mark the 20th anniversary of Tonic’s debut, Lemon Parade.
Of course each of the bands put together quotes in honor of their joint venture.
“Super excited to hit the road this summer with the guys from Toad and Tonic! Get ready because as you know Smash Mouth will be bringing the party!” Smash Mouth’s Steve Harwell said.
Toad the Wet Sprocket frontman Glen Phillips adds, “I’m happy to be hitting the road with Toad, Tonic and Smashmouth this summer. Hope we’ll see you all out there!”
And last but not least, Tonic’s Emerson Hart says, “So much of the time we spend on the road, we always miss friends in other bands by one day or one city. We are looking forward to playing music with some old friends and being able to actually watch them play. It’s going to be a fun summer.”
