Smashing Pumpkins Go Acoustic

Since forming nearly 30 years ago, one thing The Smashing Pumpkins has never done is an acoustic tour – until now. Billy Corgan & Co. will unplug in June on an outing billed as “The Smashing Pumpkins: In Plainsong – An Acoustic-Electro Evening.”

That’s right, before getting crazy with Marilyn Manson on the “The End Times Tour,” the Pumpkins will bring the noise down a bit. Corgan says the setlist will feature songs from the band’s catalog along with solo selections and Zwan tunes.

The Smashing Pumpkins is continuing to support Monuments To An Elegy, which was released in December. The band recently put out the video for the single “Drum + Fife,” which focuses on the struggles veterans face with PTSD.

Here’s the plan for “Plainsong – An Acoustic-Electro Evening”
