Loreena McKennitt’s ‘Trio’ Tour
The upcoming outing features McKennitt in the trio formation that snagged her a 2012 Grammy nomination for her live album Troubadours On The Rhine. Accompanying her will be guitarist Brian Hughes and cellist Caroline Lavelle.
The fall tour gives fans a chance to spend an evening immersed in the artist’s eclectic Celtic mix of pop, folk and world music as the trio explores McKennitt’s pursuit of Celtic history. Prepare to be enchanted as the singer/songwriter takes you on a journey that includes inspiration drawn from the Sufis in Istanbul to the Berbers in Morocco to Delphi in Greece as well as the writings of Tennyson, Shakespeare and Yeats.
