Summer Fun With Rick Springfield, Loverboy & The Romantics

Rick Springfield fans, get ready to have “Turn Me Loose” and “What I Like About You” stuck in your heads. The Australian singer/songwriter/actor/author is bringing Loverboy and The Romantics on the road as his special guests this summer.

Chastain Park Amphitheatre, Atlanta, Ga.

The outing begins Aug. 29 in Atlanta with a gig at the Chastain Park Amphitheatre and wraps Sept. 23 at the Oklahoma City Zoo Amphitheatre. The tour includes stops in Raleigh, N.C.; Chicago; Cleveland; Westbury, N.Y.; Cincinnati; and The Woodlands, Texas.

But first Springfield has a run of previously announced dates to play including several “Stripped Down” shows, a couple of full band gigs and festival appearances at Parker Days Festival in Parker, Colo., and Country Rock & Rewind Festival in Hershey, Pa.

The Stripped Down shows are intimate solo performances that feature interactive multimedia and storytelling.

Before we get to the ticket info, we should remind you that “Turn Me Loose” was once used in the greatest movie chase scene.
