Chris Pollan Dies
Chris Pollan, 68, died at his home in Woodland Hills, Calif., April 20. To many citizens in Los Angeles, Pollan was the affable owner of The Cheese Store on Sunset Boulevard.
But, to the concert industry, he was a longtime tour manager for Sammy Hagar, Van Halen and Pat Benatar, who also toured Ringo Starr, Peter Frampton, Billy Idol, Yes and Ronnie James Dio.
Pollan left the concert business behind nearly 15 years ago to open his high-end gourmet cheese store in Hollywood. Cause of death was not available at press time.
