Ambulances from several communities were called to the University of Connecticut campus April 17 to transport inebriated students to area hospitals.
About 15 people were taken to nearby hospitals “largely for intoxication,” UConn spokeswoman Stephanie Reitz said. Officials suspect alcohol intoxication made the people ill, but they did not suffer any life-threatening illnesses, according to the Hartford Courant.

Alcohol was not available at the concert and concertgoers were screened to make sure they did not bring any in. Two people were arrested in connection with the concert. One non-student was charged with trespass and alcohol possession and a student was charged with interfering with an officer, Reitz told the Courant.
