As National Guardsmen attempt to bring order to Baltimore, Md., following last night’s riots, some shows scheduled for tonight have been canceled while others are still moving forward as planned.

Tonight’s Steve Winwood performance at Modell Performing Arts Center At The Lyric has been postponed.  A post on the venue’s website promises more details to be announced soon.

The 8×10 club has canceled tonight’s show featuring Joe Nice, Lush and DJ Omnibud.  No other information is available.

Tonight’s Creepoid gig at the Metro Gallery is a no-go.

A posting on the Baltimore Soundstage’s Facebook page says tonight’s Dance Gavin Dance engagement is still on.  However, tomorrow night’s O-Town show has been postponed “due to unforeseen circumstances.”

Tonight’s acoustic evening with Lyle Lovett and John Hiatt at nearby Strand-Capitol Perf. Arts Center in York, Pa., is still on the schedule, per the venue’s website.

Major League Baseball is also taking a hit.  Last night’s Baltimore Orioles vs. Chicago White Sox game scheduled for Oriole Park at Camden Yards was postponed and tonight’s game has also been nixed from the schedule.  Both games will be rescheduled.

Baltimore is under a 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. curfew.  However, most shows still scheduled to take place tonight are at venues located outside of the city’s limits.  Of course, more shows may be postponed or canceled as the day continues. Bottom line is you should check with the venue if you have tickets for a show tonight in the Baltimore area.

Riots erupted in Baltimore yesterday following the funeral of Freddie Gray, a black man who died from a spinal cord injury while in police custody.  Maryland governor Larry Hogan declared a state of emergency for the city Monday night and called in the National Guard to restore order.

New York Rangers Playoffs have forced Eric Clapton to move his May 2 show at Madison Square Garden to May 3.  All tickets purchased for May 2 will be honored on the new date.  Word from The Garden is that Slowhand’s May 1 gig at the venue will take place as planned.

Vocal problems have forced Sam Smith to cancel the remaining dates of his tour of Australia.

Smith posted a message on Instagram saying he was “deeply saddened” about the change of plans and that he has a hemorrhage on his vocal cords.  He plans on announcing rescheduled dates shortly.

Migos has nixed its spring tour.  The Atlanta rap trio was supposed to launch its “Yung Rich Nation” tour May 1 in Milwaukee, but that date along with the rest of the schedule has gone to the land of lost socks and missing car keys.

The group is blaming circumstances beyond its control for the postponement and said the tour is being moved to July.  Rolling Stone notes that two members were recently arrested on gun and drug charges.  Expect more information to be announced soon.

Migos’ upcoming debut album, YRN Tha Album, drops June 16 via Quality Control Music (distributed by 300 Entertainment).
