Lyle Centola Dies

Centola got his start in entertainment rigging and management in the’70s, working on classic tours such as Keith Richards and the New Barbarians, Barry Manilow, Neil Young and Paul Simon.

He served as a key member of the Event Safety Alliance, and organized events ranging from Super Bowl halftime shows to a Veterans Day college basketball game held on the deck of an aircraft carrier.

Cause of death was not known at press time; Centola was apparently in New Orleans for the Jazz Fest and died April 28.
