A Jill Scott Summer

Jill Scott is headed to venues across the U.S. in July and August in support of her first new music in four years. The itinerary that was announced today includes stops in Brooklyn, Houston, Los Angeles and Nashville.

Now you’ve had a month to get acquainted with the tune “You Don’t Know,” Jill Scott is back with her new single, “Fool’s Gold.” The tune premiered Monday on platforms on all of iHeartRadio’s urban stations throughout the States.

“Fool’s Gold” and “You Don’t Know” will both be included on Scott’s new as-yet-titled album. A release date hasn’t been set for the LP, which marks her fifth full-length effort and the follow-up to The Light of the Sun.

Shawn Gee, Scott’s longtime business partner and partner in the Maverick management firm, sent in a quote to go along with today’s announcement.
