Yes, it’s a long, long list but would you expect anything less from ACL and the folks at C3 Presents?  Running eight stages of music for two consecutive weekends, Austin City Limits will host so many acts that you just gotta wonder if there’s anyone left to play anywhere else during those two October weekends.

Speaking of which, this will be ACL’s third year covering two weekends, having switched to the current game plan in 2013.  While most acts will play both weekends, there are a few making only one stop at Zilker Park.  For example, The Strokes will play only the first weekend while Florence + The Machine just appear  on the second weekend.

The lineup also boasts Bassnectar, alt-J, Hozier, Alabama Shakes (Weekend One only), Of Monsters and Men, and Modest Mouse (Weekend Two Only).

Want more? Tame Impala, Sturgill Simpson, The Decemberists, Ben Howard, Gary Clark Jr., Chance The Rapper, Brand New, TV On The Radio, Walk The Moon, A$AP Rocky, Billy Idol, Twenty One Pilots, Nero, and Dwight Yoakam will also appear.

But this is just a glimmer of how deep this year’s Austin City Limits lineup goes.  Scanning the roster reveals Brandon Flowers, Father John Misty, Lord Huron, Leon Bridges, Moon Taxi, Classixx, Flosstradamus, Rhiannon Giddens, Asleep At The Wheel, George Ezra, and Albert Hammond Jr., making the trip to Austin in October.  Best to check out the official ACL website for the complete list.
