Britney Spears Announces New Residency Dates

Britney Spears isn’t going to let her foot injury hold her back for long. After postponing last weekend’s shows, the pop star appeared on “Ellen” in a medical boot to announce that she was extending her Vegas residency through December.

The pop star rolled her ankle during her show April 29, forcing her to drop down to the stage. Spears told Ellen DeGeneres that it was “really kind of embarrassing” because it was the first time she had ever fallen on stage.

She initially tweeted that she “had a little scare on stage tonight with my ankle but I’m OK.” It turned out that she had sprained her ankle and she told Ellen she “tore some ligaments.”

But now things are looking up with a new run of “Piece Of Me” dates at The Axis At Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas and the release of her Spears’ new single with Iggy Azalea, “Pretty Girls.”

“To be honest I’m just over here acting like a total fan girl for Britney’s vocals on this song,” Iggy tweeted. “Cant. Stop. Listening. So classically Britney.”

For Britney, the admiration is mutual. She tweeted, “To be honest I’m trying to get that rap down! You killed it girl!! So happy we did this!!!”
