Live Nation Lands Reno’s Grand Theatre

The Grand Theatre is undergoing a $10 million renovation and will have a capacity of more than 3,000, according to a statement.
The venue opened in 1978 and has a four-decade history of hosting entertainment in one of the country’s better-known gaming markets.
“The Grand Theatre is an amazing venue with an extraordinary history and will easily be the must-play venue in the region,” said Ben Weeden, chief operating officer of the clubs and theatres division – known to many as House of Blues Entertainment.
The venue will also include a two-tiered entry with a new lobby, dressing rooms, green rooms and artist lounge. A full lineup along with details on a special grand-opening performance will be announced in the coming months.
