Live Nation Lands Reno’s Grand Theatre

The clubs and theatres division of Live Nation will be the exclusive promoter of the renovated Grand Theatre in Reno, Nev., when it reopens this summer.

The Grand Theatre is undergoing a $10 million renovation and will have a capacity of more than 3,000, according to a statement.

The venue opened in 1978 and has a four-decade history of hosting entertainment in one of the country’s better-known gaming markets.

“The Grand Theatre is an amazing venue with an extraordinary history and will easily be the must-play venue in the region,” said Ben Weeden, chief operating officer of the clubs and theatres division – known to many as House of Blues Entertainment.

The venue will also include a two-tiered entry with a new lobby, dressing rooms, green rooms and artist lounge. A full lineup along with details on a special grand-opening performance will be announced in the coming months.
